Connect, relax and release your cares as the class moves through a series of joint mobility practices aimed to relieve stress and stiffness from the body. Improve your strength and stability and increase your flexibility all the while using the breath to help keep you focused.
Classes are based on the Satyananda Yoga style, which provides a balanced sequence of practices in each class aiming to integrate body, mind, emotions and spirit.
Physical postures are performed in a supportive, non-competitive atmosphere with an emphasis on safety and self-awareness.
Each class begins with a short relaxation and centering practice, followed by gentle warm-up postures (asanas) to mobilise the joints, asanas to stretch, strengthen and focus, breathing practices (pranayama), and meditation.
For total relaxation in body, mind and spirit, the class finishes with the 20 minute deep relaxation technique of ‘Yoga Nidra’.
Suitable for anyone, regardless of age, ability or fitness levels.
